Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information I collect when you visit nicolacodes.com and how it is used.
1. Who I Am
This site is operated by Nicola Riker Urdaneta ("nicolascribbles"), a freelance design-engineer based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States. For questions about this policy, or to ask for access or deletion, email nicola@rikerweb.com.
2. Information I Collect
Contact form. If you submit the form, I receive your name, email address, and brief, plus any project name or company name you choose to add. If you arrived with an old estimator link, the message can also include those selections. I use this to reply to you. I do not use it for a mailing list.
Bot protection. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a submission is from a person. Turnstile may process technical data such as browser type and interaction patterns to issue a challenge token. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Hosting logs. The site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may keep standard server logs: IP address, browser user-agent, the page requested, and the time of the request. I use those logs for security and troubleshooting, not for advertising. See Vercel's privacy policy.
Content delivery. Page copy and images are published through Sanity. Your browser may request images from Sanity's CDN, which can see a normal request log. Sanity does not receive your contact-form message. See Sanity's privacy policy.
What I do not collect. This site has no accounts, no advertising, and no analytics product. I do not sell personal information, and I do not share it for cross-context advertising.
3. How I Use Your Information
- To answer a project inquiry and the correspondence that follows from it.
- To block spam on the contact form.
- To keep the site available and to investigate abuse.
4. Who Else Processes It
These providers process information on my behalf. They are not allowed to use your inquiry for their own marketing.
- Resend delivers the contact-form email. Resend's privacy policy.
- Google hosts the inquiry inbox at nicolascribbles@gmail.com, which is where a copy of your message is kept. Google's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare runs Turnstile on the contact form.
- Vercel hosts the site and stores server logs.
- Sanity stores and serves the site's published content and images.
I operate from the United States. These providers may process information in the United States. Links to GitHub, LinkedIn, Riker Web, or Buy Me a Coffee leave this site; those sites have their own policies, and I do not send them your form.
5. Cookies
The only first-party cookie is nicolacodes-color-mode. It stores light, dark, or system, and it can remain for up to a year so the next visit uses the same theme. It is not an advertising or analytics cookie. The site does not show a cookie banner because it does not set tracking cookies. Clearing it in your browser returns the site to your system theme.
Cloudflare Turnstile may set its own cookie while you complete the contact-form check. That cookie is part of the bot check, not a profile of you.
6. How Long I Keep It
Contact-form messages stay in my email inbox for as long as we are corresponding, or until you ask me to delete them. I do not run a separate visitor database. Hosting logs follow Vercel's retention for request logs.
7. Your Choices
Email nicola@rikerweb.com to ask what I hold, to correct it, or to delete it. I will reply within 30 days. The same request path is written up on the data deletion page, including the status link Instagram uses if you connected an app. I do not sell personal information, so there is no sale to opt out of.
8. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child sent the form, email me and I will delete the message.
9. Changes to This Policy
The date in the heading is the revision date. When the policy changes in a way that matters, I update this page and that date. This revision is 2026-10-22.
